Moisture Inside Safe

I notice some moisture inside my molded safe. Why?

The fire resistant and fire & water resistant chests and safes are designed to be airtight to protect the contents during a fire. It is recommended that you open your safe at least twice a month for 20 minutes each time to allow air circulation. We also recommend inserting  silica gel packs into the safe to prevent further moisture. These are available at online retailers like Amazon or your local hardware store.

Safe Key Not Turning

My key is not broken, but it does not work in the safe. What should I do?

It may be possible that some debris or dust is caught in the lock of your unit.

1. Check the engraved key number and verify it matches the engraved number on the key cylinder.

2. Spray WD-40 oil on the lock.

3. Tap it lightly with a hammer.

4. Try the key again. If the key still does not work please contact Guarda Support for more information.
